In the begining
the nation was moving right along....WWII was over and our presence throughout the world was known....Korea and Germany....Japan
and south Pacific islands...all across the globe US troops were protecting and guarding the price of freedom....Peace....prosperity....the
average Joe was happy and raising families....proud of the achievements of the past 20 years and people actually did care
and help their fellow man....until the Beast reared his ugly head.......

only America but the entire world and into outer space....Civil unrest...political upheavals...All across the land...from
sea to shining sea....families tore apart over a war half a world away....riots in the streets....beatings by Police
and National Guardsman.....Protests...demostrations Kids leaving all they love and have and fleeing their country knowing
full well they could never return home again...or contact their families....Selma...L.A....Detroit....Phila....
Chicago... Atlanta....Montgomery.....Our
cities very streets and campuses were War Zones....
The music of the day was enlighting to say the least....If you want to understand the 50's and 60's....just listen
to the music.......It's all right there....no grey areas...down and dirty....the good and the ugly....What a time to be alive...crusing
the loop.....singing on street corners...American bandstand.... The Jersey Steel Pier....Motown....Soul Train....Grande
Old Opera.. The Loyyd Thaxton Show...California Dreaming.....on to the Doors... Buffalo Springfield...Crosby Stills Nash
